When you log in to Online Banking for the first time after June11, you will see a brand-new look for the CU*@HOME login page. Don't worry, you will still log in the same way as before, but the page will look a little different and have some great new features on it. Click the picture shown here to see what the new page will look like.

Also, after you log in, you'll be asked to set up your own personal Security Questions. You pick 3 questions and supply answers that only you know. Later, if you forget your password (or accidentally disable it), you can click the new “I forgot my password” link and answer your Security Questions to reset your password online.

Hint:

You can even elect to answer one of these questions every time you log in as an extra layer of security...ask us how to set this up in your Personal Internet Branch (PIB) profile!

Setting Up Security Questions

Security Questions are another way for us to verify your identity. Think of it this way: when you answer the questions correctly, we know it's really you.

You will need to choose 3 questions from a list of over 30 choices. If you wish, one of the questions can even be one that you make up yourself. Then you provide answers to each of these questions.

Answers can be anything you want, but remember that they should be easy for you to remember but difficult for someone else to guess. You must use at least 3 characters and up to 20 characters, and you can include any letters, numbers, or special characters—even spaces are allowed. Answers will NOT be case-sensitive, however.

For example, your answer to the question "What is your favorite cartoon character?" could be set up as Daffy Duck. Later, when you answer the question while logging in to Online Banking, you could type DAFFY DUCK or daffy duck or even DAFFY duck and it would be considered a correct answer. But daffyduck (without the space) would not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why do I have to set up Security Questions?
A: Security Questions are another way for us to verify your identity. Think of it this way: when you answer the questions correctly, we know it's really you.
We know that it can be difficult to remember all of the many passwords you use at home and at work. Security Questions make it easier for you to get your online banking password reset without having to contact the credit union directly.
Q: When will I need to answer the Security Questions?
A: You will be asked to answer Security Questions in two different situations:
  • If your Personal Internet Branch (PIB) profile has been set up to require an additional challenge question to be answered in order to log in to Online Banking, you will be asked one of your three questions every time you log in. You must enter your password correctly and answer your security question correctly in order to log in to your accounts.
  • If you click "I forgot my password" on the login page, you will be asked to answer all three of your security questions. If they are all answered correctly, we'll know it's you and we'll allow you to specify a new password right away.
Q: What if I can't remember the answers to my Security Questions?
A: If you cannot enter the answers correctly, you will need to contact the credit union. After we verify your identity, we can reset your questions and password for you, then you will need to log in right away and set up new ones.
Q: Can I choose different Security Questions?
A: Once you log in to Online Banking successfully, click the Personal Preferences button on the main menu. You can choose new questions or provide different answers at any time.
Q: What if I don't want to set up Security Questions?
A: Security Questions make it possible for you to reset your Online Banking password yourself if you forget it in the future. Also, remember that you can require login Security Questions when you set up your Personal Internet Branch (PIB) profile. The Security Questions that you set up here are the ones that will be used whenever you log in, as an extra way to verify your identity.
